As I mentioned yesterday, I just returned from a lovely weekend retreat.  I shared the weekend with a great group of women, relishing an escape up north, and participating in an intentional circle retreat.  The “circle” part means that we all participated in a number of intentional conversations (which happen to take place in a circle!), during which each person is provided the time the share and process their thoughts and insight.  It was a great way to connect at a very genuine level with the group.  I knew two of the other women well, and got to know the rest throughout the weekend!  It was very rejuvenating and inspiring.  Here are a few photos from our weekend…

I spent the weekend with some friends on a retreat.  It’s a little late now, so I won’t be uploading photos tonight, but more to come tomorrow!  :)

…how to find the right spring to replace the one that got lost when we were fixing the lawn mower?  Grrrrr.  The model number says “not found” on the website, and the lawn mower won’t work without the spring.  Hmmm…our grass might get kind of long this weekend!  :)

…as a free lunch :) At least where I work!  The school I work at provides lunch for all employees throughout the school year.  Now you might be thinking…hmmm…school lunch…no thanks!  Not so at this school.  Today, for example, we ate a delicious lunch of lasagna, Caesar salad, rolls, and cookies…yummy!  The kids come back next Monday, and from then on we get lunch every day of the week – wahoo!  After a summer of granola bars, fruit snacks, and cheese slices, I am elated!

I am happy to report that all of our rental properties are again fully rented!  We were on the search for new tenants for an Oct 1 lease at our place in Mpls, and we got a lease and deposit this morning!  This a relief to me since I’ve been driving over to Mpls a lot for showings.  The tenants move in at our Saint Paul place on Thursday – no more mowing two lawns for me – wahoo!  :)

Here’s the line up as of late…

Tim’s birthday – TODAY
My birthday – Two days ago (the 22nd)
My dad’s birthday – Tomorrow!

That’s a lot of birthdays in one week!  Tim and I kept it simple to celebrate, just a nice dinner out at Cheesecake Factory.  Being that we just got back from a week-long vacation, we didn’t feel the need to do anything too fancy…I’m now 29, and he’s 31 – my last year in my twenties – agh! :)

Check out this flower that is growing in my garden!  Kinda cool… :)

I finally got them organized and captioned, so check them out in the Photo Albums section of my website :)Photos of the North Cascades

Tim and I got back from the North Cascades last night.  We had a great time, and I took LOTS of photos!  My very full email inbox and long to-do list kept me from organizing them today, but I plan to work on that tomorrow, and will have a much more exciting blog post at that time!  :)

Tim and I depart early Thursday morning for Washington.  We will be visiting North Cascades National Park.  I’ve been looking forward to this trip all summer!  Our house will be safely tended by a couple of friends, which makes vacation even more relaxing!  I will be absent from the blog for a while, but I promise great photos when we return! :)
