It’s apparently been a busy couple months, because I realized tonight that I have missed most of this season’s episodes of my fave show, Grey’s Anatomy.  That’s a lot of busy Thursday nights!  I did a bit of catching up tonight :) with two episodes online.  I might just have to rent the DVD for this season when it comes out!

I watched the show “Parenthood” for the first time this evening…I’m a fan.  I might be a bit biased since I loved Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham is in this show too.  Very entertaining :)

We arrived home from DC today!  It was a great trip :)

Tim and I ventured to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum site with all of the big planes (and a space shuttle).  Who knew so MANY planes could fit in one hangar!  It was pretty cool, and I commented to Tim that it helped ease my flying nerves knowing how many crazy contraptions there are that stayed in the air (many seeming much less sturdy than the jet liners of today) :) Here are a few photo highlights…

Tim and I are visiting my family in DC and we spent the day with Christy and Jeff checking out the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom at the Capitol Mall.  Today also happened to be some sort of Kite Festival, so you’ll notice the sky full of kites behind us in the photo of the Washington Monument.  After walking about 3.5 miles around the Capitol Mall area, we headed to my dad and Tracy’s for dinner and a long game of Settlers of Catan :) I didn’t take any photos at our evening gathering, but it was a good time.  Now I am finishing the evening with a bit of blogging at Christy and Jeff’s, and their dog Annie would rather I be throwing her ball for her…see photo below :) Tomorrow, we’re heading to check out the Air and Space Museum while Christy gets some law school homework done.  Here are a few photos from today…(click to view larger images)

Tim got this from a colleague, and it’s pretty cool…you have to watch all the way to the end:

I met some friends after work today for dinner at the Birchwood Cafe in Minneapolis.  It was a great place!  I’ve never been there before, but the food was delicious :) It’s also a great neighborhood restaurant that supports local farmers…pretty cool.

Tim’s car has become a money pit.  It’s nearing the 10-year mark and is having one problem after another.  It’s to that point where it doesn’t feel worthwhile to continue dumping money into it.  So, we’re on the hunt for a new car, probably a hybrid if we can find a good one that’s not too expensive.  We’ll see!

I blogged a couple weeks ago about the new TV stand that we bought.  That same weekend we purchased a dining room table, and it arrived this week!  Tim assembled it this weekend, and we’re loving having a table that doesn’t wobble a lot :) We went with a higher counter-height table since we both like the higher chairs, and we’re fans of having another space to serve as a quasi-counter/island.  Check it out…
