We were on the hunt for a renter for our 1-bedroom place in Minneapolis.  We got 3 applications today!  It comes in waves apparently :)   We offered a lease to one of the candidates, so hopefully we’ll get the signed lease back tomorrow.  If not, we have a couple more in the wings.  This time of year is much better for finding a tenant that just 2 months ago.  We got about 8-10 emails within 24 hours after each Craigslist post, versus 2-3 for a May posting.  I’m relieved to be near the finish after 13 showings this week!

I am a person who needs a  lot of sleep.
I now get up at 5:00 am.
Me and the 5:00 alarm clock don’t get along so well.
So, it’s 8:45 pm, and I am going to bed :)

Tim and I spent Saturday celebrating Sandy and Lee’s wedding.  Life has been a bit busy since then, so I just got a chance to upload the photos :)   Here are a few highlights from the wedding.  Congrats Sandy & Lee!

Today marked the end of our two week teacher training at BSP.  Monday will be the first day with students!  I am very impressed with the faculty this summer, they are doing a great job!  I will say it feels much later than 9:30 – this gal is tired!  Time for a good night’s sleep! :)

Tonight was when it got real! The Summer 2010 BSP teachers met their students for the first time. One day of orientation left, and then on Monday it’s go time!

I just realized I haven’t blogged since Sunday.  It’s been a busy week at BSP!   We only have three more work days until the students begin at BSP on Monday.  The teachers are feeling the pinch, and stress levels were a bit high today, but I am confident they will be just fine, they’re a very competent group :)   Time for some sleep…the alarm clock rings early these days!

A few of us gals gathered today to celebrate the soon-coming wedding of our friend, Sandy.  We even got Dana’s baby, James, to smile for the photo :)

The outdoor center I used to work at is on land owned by the Belwin Conservancy.  A few years ago they started a partnership with e Bison farmer to “bring Bison back to the prairie.”  They now have a heard of about 30 Bison that spend every summer on one of the restored prairies at Belwin Conservancy (www.belwin.org).  Today was the 3rd annual Bison release.  Check out the video below to see them storming out of the truck.  I especially enjoy the sound of the little girl giggling who was standing next to us :)

The sky was a golden color tonight as tall clouds passed over at sunset.   Here are a few shots from our window…

I may be a bit less diligent with my daily posting as I adjust to the new summer schedule, and sleep deprivation :) The teachers this summer are awesome, and they are already writing great lesson plans! It’s going to be a great summer for the kids!
